Food Choices

We follow the Eat Better Start Better Guidelines to ensure that children are provided with meals, snacks and drinks that are healthy balanced and nutritious. Meals are prepared using fresh ingredients by our nursery cook in a new and modern kitchen.

Food is the way to everyone’s heart so we try to keep things varied and nutritional.   Below are examples of lunches and teas taken from our weekly menus.  Our menus are regularly reviewed to reflect the change in seasons and the needs of the children, our chefs will adapt our menus to make suitable weaning options.  All dietary needs and requirements are fully catered for.

Our chefs provide a selection of morning and afternoon snacks, which include: fresh fruit, cream crackers and spread, rice cakes, pitta and homemade tzatziki and houmous, oat cakes and breadsticks.  Water is available throughout the day and milk is served with snacks.

All our lunches and teas are offered with a side of vegetables or salad.  Yoghurt and fresh fruit is available after tea.
